11/2/8 - The 2007-8 season came to a close on Saturday with the Blitz losing 46-14 to the Westside Steelers in the Grand Final. It was a disappointing end to a good season. The Blitz now prepare for Steve Mathews' Buck's night on Saturday 16th and the season wind-up on Saturday 23rd.
4/2/8 - The Blitzed booked a place in the 2007-8 GridironWest Grand Final on Saturday with a convincing win over the Rockingham Vipers 36-14. The Blitz TDs came from Lachlan Thompson (2), Dave Dempsey, Agent006 and Puni Palelei. Next the Blitz face the current champions the Westside Steelers.
20/1/8 - The regular season ended with a win for the Blitz, 22-6 over the Jets. Scores from Aaron Allingham, Dave Dempsey and Lachlan Thompson were enough to see the Blitz home. This puts the Blitz win streak at 6 in a row. But that means nothing now as the Blitz face the Vipers yet again in the playoffs!
12/1/8 - The Blitz made it 5 in a row with a 35-18 win over the Broncos. 2 touchdowns from Dave Dempsey and other TDs by Lachlan Thompson and Luke Keamy got the royal blue home relatively easily. Next week the regular season ends with the Jets.
5/1/8 - What promised to be a close match turned out not to be with the Blitz putting the Vipers down 58-12. The win makes it 4 in a row for the Blitz who now face the Broncos.
24/12/7 - The Blitz beat the league leading Steelers for the second time this year on Saturday 14-0 to move to 7-5 and third place. The Blitz D shut down the Steelers all day and scores from Aaron Allingham and Dave Dempsey proved enough to put the Champions down. After the holiday break the Blitz face the 2nd place Vipers in what should be a ripper.
18/12/7 - The winless Saints fought like dogs all game on Saturday to make the Blitz earn their win 40-32. In a tight contest the Saints kept fighting back and it took some exceptional play from game MVP Dave Dempsey to top the Saints. This weekend the Blitz face the league leading Steelers in what should be a Christmas special!
10/12/7 - The Blitz dominated an understrength Jets side 34-12 on Saturday. The Blitz scored on their first drive with a deep pass to Puni Palelei and never looked back. Touchdowns to Palelei again, Steve Mathews, Dave Dempsey and Craig Murdoch quickly put the game beyond reach. Next week the Blitz face the winless Saints.
1/12/7 - The Blitz lost their second game in a row in a close battle with the Broncos on Saturday, going down 8-16. The Blitz touchdown came from Dave Dempsey with Lachlan Thompson adding the 2. But the Blitz offense couldn't move the ball on the day and the Broncos held on for the win. Next Saturday the Blitz face the Jets in a must win encounter.
30/11/7 - In a high scoring game the Blitz went down to the Vipers 34-60. 3 touchdowns from game MVP Dave Dempsey and scores from Jackson Balme and Loko Thompson were not enough to overcome a Vipers offense that was on fire all day. The Blitz now drop to 4th, a half a game behind the Broncos - who they play this Saturday.
19/11/7 - The Blitz made it three wins in a row by taking down the league leading Steelers 22-16 on Saturday. The Steelers took an early 8-0 lead but the Blitz came back with a touchdown run from Dave Dempsey. When the Steelers went 16-8 up in the second quarter the Blitz D stepped up and shut the game down. The second half produced passes from Dempsey to Loko Thompson and Puni Palelei to win the game. Next week the Blitz face the Vipers in what should be a great game.
12/11/7 - The Blitz beat the Saints 28-16 on Saturday to bring their record to 3-3. 2 touchdown receptions from MVP Mike Maurice and scores by Lachlan Thompson and Luke Keamy were enough to put the Saints away. Next week a real test for the Blitz as they play the undefeated Steelers.
5/11/7 - The Blitz broke a 3 game losing streak on Saturday with a thrilling 24-16 win over the Jets. The Blitz D was outstanding all day, limiting the Jets powerful rushing game. On offense the Blitz offensive line dominated allowing running backs Aaron Allingham and Lachlan Thompson to combine for 3 TDs. Next weekend the Blitz face the Saints for the second time this season.
27/10/7 - On Saturday the Blitz faced the Broncos. These teams know each other well and the games are always entertaining. At half time the score was tied at 14-14. The Blitz took the lead 22-14 in the 4th quarter and then the Broncos cut loose, scoring 28 unanswered points to blow the Blitz away. The final score was 42-14. This loss leaves the Blitz in a deep hole at 1-3 facing the Jets this Saturday at 7pm.
20/10/7 - Saturday saw the Blitz take on the Vipers. This game was a tight scrap from start to finish. At halftime the Blitz trailed 8-6 thanks to some excellent defence. In the second half the Blitz scored first (Aaron Allingham) to take the lead 12-8 but the Vipers scored on a deep pass to win the game 15-12. This takes the Blitz to 1-2 going into week 4 against the Broncos.
13/10/7 - Week 2 saw the Blitz take on the Champion Steelers. The Steelers’ running game was too good all day and the Steelers ran away with it 40-6. The loss is the first of the year and leaves the Blitz at 1-1.
6/10/7 - The 2007 season started today with a Blitz win over the Saints. The game was tied at 14-14 at halftime but the Blitz D took over in the second half to shut out the Saints. Meanwhile the Blitz O chewed up the clock and scored twice more to make the final score 26-14.
5/9/7 - The new season is almost here and the Blitz are back together and training hard. Competition for spots is intense with plenty of new talent to go along with the old faces. The Blitz will be receuiting for just a few more weeks so any new recruits are urged to come down soon or miss out!
20/1/7 - The Blitz played the league leading Steelers on Saturday in a thrilling encounter. Both teams scored 3 touchdowns but the Steelers came out on top 20-18 as they managed to convert 2 extra points. The Blitz scorers were Aaron Allingham, Mike 'Shmoopy' Maurice and Puni Palelei. Next week is a bye week for all teams and then the Blitz meet the 4th placed Saints on 3rd Feb.
13/1/7 - The Blitz started the new year like they finished the old one, with a win. This time they beat the Jets 24-6 in a less than convincing display. All three of the Blitz touchdowns were scored by monster fullback Frank A hKuoi who also had a 2 point reception. Other scorers were Mike Maurice (2) and Steve Mathews (2). Next week the Blitz face the league leading Steelers in what should be a hotly contested meeting.
